| The benefits of music begin for children from the earliest days of infancy. The Kindermusik Village program, designed for babies newborn through 18 months focuses on the infant-parent relationship while creating a happy, nurturing musical environment. Lap babies, crawlers, and walkers participate at their own level as they explore the world through music and movement. The class time begins with a gathering time and proceeds calmly into a "lesson" facilitated by the teacher. The teacher will model activities while giving information about the specific developmental needs that are being addressed. | |

| Cock-A-Doodle Moo and Dew Drops! | |
Cock-A-Doodle-Moo (January
26-March 23, 2006) Get your baby ready to shake, rattle, and roll as
we explore American folk songs. "Skip to My Lou" and "Old MacDonald"
are highly complemented by several gems which have been at risk of disappearing
from children's musical repertoire. The recordings of "Hop Up My Baby" and
"You Are my Sunshine" will be treasured by your family for years to come. |

Dew
Drops (March
23-May 18, 2006) Your baby will love doing the "Irish
Trot"
as we explore movement and Celtic treasures in this unit. "Lavender's Blue"
will be used for exploring the speaking and singing voice. Your baby will
experience polyphony in many ways as we do the round "White Coral Bells"
with instruments, voices, and movements. "The Belfast Hornpipe" and "All
the Way to Galway" are two favorites that we use for instrument play-along.
These exciting pieces are contrasted by beautiful arrangements of "Scarborough
Fair" and "That's An Irish Lullaby". The piano piece "To a Wild Rose" which
is on the home CD is played "live" for your baby to experience by the
teacher. All classes at Musical Progressions are enhanced by a beautiful
Yamaha Conservatory
Grand piano. |
